I've had to think outside the box when it comes to generating extra money. I've been pursuing roles in entirely different sectors simply to boost my earnings. <HELLO WAITRESSING> Since I haven't yet landed any positions from these other industries, I decided to explore additional ways I could increase my contribution to the family budget. Below are some of the applications I've discovered:

**Please note these applications are not a substitute for regular employment. They will NOT make you wealthy. However, they can offer a modest boost to your monthly finances.**
1. Inbox Dollars
I used to rely on this service during my university years (undergraduate studies seem to be a constant commitment). Essentially, you earn money by completing surveys. In the past, this platform was quite problematic. Qualifying for surveys was challenging, and you'd invest considerable time for relatively small returns. I have to say, I'm genuinely impressed by how much this app has improved. You still need to reach the $30 minimum threshold before you can withdraw, but hitting that target is considerably simpler now! The more surveys you complete, the higher your earnings become. If you engaged with this app consistently, you could reasonably earn a decent monthly income. I usually complete surveys while commuting or having a soak in the bath, so my earnings aren't substantial.
2. Field Agent
This app is absolutely brilliant if you're based in Australia (I'm uncertain whether it operates elsewhere). Essentially, you can take on various tasks throughout the city and earn money completing them. For instance, a recent assignment involved a Red Bull fridge check. You visited a designated shop at a set time, took a photo of the fridge, and responded to a few queries. Upon completion you receive payment! Quite straightforward isn't it?!? Similarly, I don't use this app regularly but often browse available tasks near me and complete them from there. I don't think there's a minimum payout threshold for this app and there are always fresh tasks being added!
3. Rabadaba
Whoever developed this app, you're a genuine genius! Rabadaba is a social platform that rewards you for engaging socially. You can accumulate points by sharing posts or liking/disliking/distributing/participating in other users' content. You choose your preferred minimum payout threshold, and on the 15th of each month, you receive payment (provided you've met your minimum). I've had some troubles on the Apple system, but they're minor issues like missing push alerts. That said, the app team are incredibly responsive and typically reply to questions within hours. Honestly, why wouldn't you want to use this app?
This application compensates you somewhat more per survey relative to Inbox Dollars. Yet the quantity of surveys available is noticeably lower. I'm uncertain whether my region restricts survey availability or if they simply provide fewer options. A $10 minimum payout threshold applies before you can withdraw funds. They do provide the choice of receiving payment via Amazon gift card or direct transfer to your PayPal account. Should they increase their survey frequency, I'd likely favour this app over Inbox Dollars.
5. Acorn Hunt
This is probably one of my least favourites but honestly, every bit counts, right? On this app, you earn money by completing surveys, installing apps from the app store and testing them, and viewing video advertisements. You'll need 4,000 acorns before you can claim any rewards. Since I don't use it regularly, I'm not entirely certain they actually deliver payouts. Once I hit the minimum threshold, I'll let you know if the payment actually comes through!
6. Movie Money
Using this app, you won't see rewards roll in quickly. You accumulate points by watching various video advertisements ranging from 15 to 45 seconds each. The main drawback: you need 1200 points to cash out but are LIMITED to 20 videos daily. Hitting the 20 video cap takes roughly 5 minutes, so you're not squandering your entire day. Then again, it's quite a while before you'll feel the benefits from this app. Looking at the bright side though: what am I even grumbling about? I'm literally sitting and earning money whilst watching videos—does it really matter if it's just a small amount?
7. TAP$
Similar to other apps, I haven't yet received a payout from this one so I'll need to update once I do. This is the most uncomplicated app you could ask for. If you have young children, give them this app and they'll generate income for you. You simply press a button to earn points towards a payout. You'll need to tap the button an excessive number of times but keep going and BOOM! CASH! Can't drift off to sleep? Tap away until your thoughts fade into slumber! Know someone who enjoys frantically tapping at everything? Hold your phone up to their finger and let them earn you money! It's remarkably straightforward, really....let's just hope I haven't been tapping my phone for nothing!
When I first began using all these apps, I felt a bit disappointed that earnings weren't simpler to get. After reflecting on it I recognised, I'm LITERALLY doing almost nothing, WHY WOULD I EXPECT TO BE EARNING A LOT OF MONEY?!?! It was flawed reasoning on my part. I understand I won't become wealthy through these apps. I have no intention of relying on these apps as my primary income stream. It's just a way to help keep my finances in order for the moment. Looking to earn a bit of extra holiday money? After some additional spending cash for a getaway? Try these apps out. Quite a few of them are actually really enjoyable!
